• the musical RENT and its movie adaptation from 2005, and the movie soundtrack
• the following television shows: gilmore girls, dawson's creek, kyle XY, my so-called life, south park, six feet under, californication, the daily show, the henry rollins show
• documentaries
• the jersey shore (specifically seaside heights/the boardwalk)
• buying groceries after midnight at the 24-hour grocery store
• staying indoors, getting creative things done
• rewarding myself with a movie after finishing a song
• romantic-comedy films (yes, chick flicks. they are my favorite)
• all the writings, spoken word, DVDs, and opinions of HENRY ROLLINS. anyone who doesn't realize how right he is about EVERYTHING, is an idiot.
• all the spoken-word albums Jello Biafra (former Dead Kennedys lead vocalist) has released. if you don't get an education in how effed up this country is, just by listening to five minutes of any of his albums, you are not too bright. everyone needs to listen to at least one of his spoken word albums. god, if they did, everyone would be a lot less stupid.
• stand-up comedy in general. i think stand-up comics are modern-day philosophers. what they say is not only important and thought-provoking, it's effing hysterical.
